Academy Communication to NDA Families

Thursday, May 28, 2020

Hello Parents and Guardians,

On May 6, 2020 the Minister of Education stated in-person classes would be cancelled for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year and recently, the Alberta government has presented 3 options (normal, hybrid, online) to school divisions across the province for what school “might” look like as students and teachers return for the fall of 2020.

At Notre Dame Academy, we have fielded numerous calls regarding the direction of our sports academy programming.  While there are many unknowns of what education and learning will look like for the fall of 2020, what we do know is that we are committed to offering quality sports academy programming upon our return.  Our sports academy programs will respond to the directives from the Alberta government to ensure our tradition of quality sports academy programming continues at Notre Dame Academy.  Our academy instructors are committed to developing alternative training and instruction to address the issues of social distancing, facilities, busing, technology, and safety of all academy students.  We will also be mindful of the possible changes to our fee structure which may reduce costs for parents of academy students as we plan for our fall return.  SchoolCash online will also ensure if fees need to be altered that parents can receive funds in a seamless and timely manner.

Our Notre Dame Academy instructors are excited and hopeful of the possibility to begin sports academy instruction for the fall of 2020, as we hope you and your child are too.

Thank you for your time, patience and understanding while we deal with this significant event.  If you have any questions please contact Mr. Bosch at 403-527-5118: extension 1604.

Thank you,

Mr. Siedlecki
